The Purpose of askteacherz.com?
Simply stated... the purpose of askteacherz.com is to act as a FREE consultant to you in regards to education. Who are we and why are we qualified to consult? We are a wife and husband with over 30 years of teaching experience between the two of us in the State of Michigan. Our educational backgrounds span grades K through 12 along with having earned MA's in Counseling and U.S. History... and we still teach each and every day with a passion. The goal of this site is to assist students, parents, colleagues, coaches, aspiring educators, school board members, administrators, and especially, politicians in working together to create a better tomorrow through more quality educational dialogue.
Additionally, as we continue to develop this site the intention will be to eventually post recommendations for books, other useful educational internet sites, lessons we use, learning tools we have found useful (or not) and any other thought provoking ideas on ways to better serve our future generations. Teach Others to HELP Those in NEED!

One of the most important attributes learned in life is compassion. Abraham Lincoln once made the remark that "The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next." If as educators we are held to a standard that most other professions are not. The young minds of our nations future look to us to guide them not only in words but in deeds. Tragedy is constantly rearing its ugly face in our world. It is, however, through tragedy that we as a people gain our strength. As such we can all demonstrate care for others by following our past President's belief that from within our classrooms we will provide that initial spark to our students as to what the republican ideals of our country stand for and ensure that "... that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom; and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth." Be that person that inspires others to help. Sometimes standing up, being heard and getting other to join hands in accomplishing a common goal is not popular but when it comes to caring for others there is little room for popularity. Together humanity can overcome any obstacle and the United States of America has always carried the torch in such endeavors. Help the American Red Cross or the Save the Children foundation to help others in need.
